What is CPSR?

CPSR is Cosmetic Product Safety
Report (CPSR). It is a mandatory safety assessment required under EU and UK
regulations for all cosmetic products. Completing the necessary assessments in
cosmetic products ensures the product is safe for use in humans under normal
conditions.

At BANG Cosmetics we are committed to delivering the best results possible in the safest way possible for everyone!

Why is patch testing essential?

We aim to use natural ingredients
which overall do have lower irritation and
allergen risk, however patch testing is essential as they could also cause reactions in different people as we all have different skin microbiome.

That’s where patch testing comes
into play…it helps prevent allergic reactions or irritation as it allows you to
check on how your skin will respond to a product before you actually
use it!

How to patch test?

It’s not complicated at all! Just follow the below steps:

  1. Choose a small area. Common spots are the inner forearm or behind the ear.
  2. Apply a small amount. Use a pea sized amount of the product.
  3. Wait 24–48 Hours. Do not wash the area during this time.
  4. Check for reactions. Look for redness, itching, swelling, or rash.
  • If there's no reaction, the product is likely safe for use.
  • If irritation occurs, please discontinue
    use immediately.
